The first consultation
Prior to your first appointment, you will be sent a questionnaire inquiring about your medical history. Relevant information includes previous surgeries, current medications and former fertility treatments.

Your first visit
Upon your first visit at our clinic you will be asked to provide us with your medical records. As part of the assessment, you will have to undergo a number of routine investigations. These tests include a blood sample taken from both partners to determine your hormone levels, to rule out sperm antibodies and to check for infectious diseases such as rubella, HIV or hepatitis B & C.
Since a careful diagnosis is the key to determining an appropriate treatment plan, we will also have to perform an ultrasound scan on the female partner and a semen analysis of the male partner.
The required ultrasound scan will help to evaluate whether the uterine cavity is free of polyps, fibroids or adhesions that might interfere with the implantation and development of an embryo.
The semen analysis will help to determine the quantity, motility and morphology of the sperm, all of which can impede fertility.
Once your intitial tests are completed, we will design an individual treatment plan that will address your specific needs.
In order to ensure that your first consultation is as amiable and empathic as possible we will do everything we can to help you better understand your treatment, the order in which things must occur and what comes next.
If you have any queries, please feel free to ask.
We look forward to hearing from you!
